Jacqueline Simpson-Dunne is a distinguished professional in the field of mental health, holding dual certifications as a Board Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. She is renowned for her comprehensive and compassionate approach, ensuring that patients across the lifespan receive the tailored care they require, from childhood through adulthood.
Her extensive experience and specialized skills enable her to expertly address a wide range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, ADHD, autism, bipolar and mood disorders, depression, dual diagnosis, personality disorders, PTSD, schizophrenia, and substance-induced psychosis. Jacqueline’s commitment to creating a supportive and safe space allows individuals to navigate their mental health challenges with confidence.
During her valuable tenure at the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS), Jacqueline played a crucial role in treating patients of all ages, with a special emphasis on the unique needs of the Young Adult Services (YAS). This experience highlighted the vital importance of early intervention and robust support for young adults, establishing a foundation for lasting mental well-being.

PHILOSOPHY

Mental Health Solutions conducts comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for children and adults across all ages with a behavioral health diagnosis, clinical formulation and treatment recommendations.

Jackie believes in treating the whole person–mentally, emotionally, even physically–using genetic testing, psychopharmacological interventions, and medication management when necessary. She does not limit her practice to medication management, but assesses each individuals mental and emotional triggers. People with substance abuse issues, trauma including family and school based stressors, as a means to develop a course of treatment for them.

Collaboration is important. Using a family engagement framework and maintaining a positive collaborative relationship with primary care practitioners and key community partners–i.e. therapists, schools, hospitals etc.–ensures her patients experience improvements more quickly and effectively than working alone.
